Nearly 25,000 residences in southeastern Queensland found themselves without power on Monday morning after intense storm systems impacted the area, generating wind gusts topping 109 kilometers per hour.
Substantial Ice Stones and Broad Damage
Residents observed substantial frozen pellets as large as seven centimeters in certain regions. Weather authorities announced that different parts across the state had been impacted by large hailstones.
